2 Interview Ready Outfits for this Season

Spring is here and that means one thing, getting a new job. Going on a interview can be really nerve racking. Well it should be.  A great interview can lead to a great job which can lead to you running the world (girls!), but it all starts with the right interview wardrobe. Below, are 4 styles for guys and 4 for the dolls. You can and should add to your executive fashion portfolio. Everything found in TopShop, Forever 21, Topman and H&M. Affordable!! 

The Ladies: 

A Crop Shoulder Jacket- Women used to dress up in power suits to show off their equality to men. But the scales are a bit uneven, bring out those shoulder pads to show the boys you're as good , but better. 

A Pantsuit- No need to wear skirts to show off your legs, save those for the summer. Instead take a step back in the 70's and wear those heavy wide leg trousers. 

Ball-buster heels- There's nothing better than a 5 inch stiletto to kick through those glass doors.

A Bright Bag- Because you're not fooling anyone with that Dior knock-off and you don't need that square- bag for a resume. 

Gentlemen: 

A tailored suit- Any guy can put on a suit. But if you're trying to run shit you need to make sure the suit fits the aspirations so take it to a tailor. 


A briefcase- If you ever see a guy wearing a suit and holding a backpack and think its okay, Slap them! No company would want a guy coming in with a backpack to work with them. 


A fresh pair of kicks- Wingtips will take your career sky high. In for the summer collect these bad boys will make your suit pop.

Chanel Iphone App

Chanel fan who owns an iPhone (or an iPad for that matter) should be without the Chanel iPhone App, which gives you a peek into the world of the brand. From Chanel News (their in-house blog/newsletter with updates and many behind-the-scenes exclusives) to viewing the latest runway show in the comfort of your own room, it is an app that’s not only informative, but functional as well.

Right now you can view the Cruise 2012 Womens Chanel runway show on the app, along with all the looks from the collection. There is even a store locator function, which points you to the nearest Chanel boutique from wherever you are. 

Have you got your "Prada Creepers" yet?

Okay I know the first thing that comes to your mind is "Expensive" they really are not. The version which you can buy, available in a range of different colored leathers, is not the same as the runway version: the soles are much thinner, and as a result the lines and proportions don't work as well. They lack that certain something that the runway ones possess. It annoys me when things which are shown on the runway (and shot in all the magazine editorials) are not produced for sale, or are only made in watered-down versions.

The runway version of these shoes is SO GOOD. After Raf's SS08 footwear, they are my favorite shoes ever.. the perfect balance between minimal clean lines and madness. In NYC saw at least 5 people wearing them. It became clear that everyone else on Earth wanted a pair for themselves too. Though initially criticized for being an eyesore, they were featured in magazines, newspapers and blogs across the world. I know Im going to grab a pair. 

ESCAPE FROM THE ASLYUM-LIM College 2011 Fashion Show

As you entered the show you felt the excitement  of the people waiting for the show to start. As the lights dimed and the music started blasting. A little performance started off the show and right away you saw the similarities to Alexander McQueen show. The make-up was out of this world and the clothes were to die for. If you notice with the pictures a lot of the clothes used for the show are examples of the clothes that will be in for the summer. Not only with the lace and the denim but also with the studded belts and leather. The models worked the runway with their big hair and Makeup by Angelica Marrero.  The show sucked you in from start to finish with the upbeat music and the amazing clothes. It is safe to say that Alexander McQueen was and is still proud. 

Not only was the show such an enjoyment but it also was also a charity event for St.Judes Children Hospital. I was lucky enough to be part of a raffle and won an amazing gift bag from http://www.dereklovesshopping.com/ as you can see from the picture below I am second from the left. The beautiful girl in the middle is a close friend Fantasia Hunt who was also the director of this fabulous show.  It was truly a night to remember.

Mens' Style

 When you really look at a guy the first thing that I notice is his smile but the second thing that has to catch my attention is what he is wearing. A man should always look well put together it doesn't matter where they are going because your clothes are the first thing that someone sees. So remember guys, a button up shirt with a nice sweater and some good jeans goes a long way with not only people you don't know but that girl that you've been trying to get the attention of.


The thing about a man's style is you should always feel comfortable with what you wear so your confidence exudes. That is one of the many thing that I first saw when I looked at  Brain. His outfit is one of those looks that every guy can pull off. As you can see from the picture the pants stand out with the contrast of colors that he chose.  The jean button up shirt which is in style for this up coming season pulls together the plaid shit that he wore under it. His shoes which are my favorite part of the outfit is a staple that every man should have in his closet. You can never go wrong with a good pair of lace tied shoes. Brain knows how to work the outfit because not only is it well put together but you can also tell that he has a confidence about himself.

 This is also another example of how a guy could look pulled together in a really amazing way. The outfit is something that you can war to go grab a coffee with friends or even to go to your first class of he day. The jeans make the outfit causal but the fact that its paired with a white button up shirt adds a sense of freshness to the outfit. The stables of the outfit are the bag and the boots. Don't ever think that a bag is just for a woman because there are bags for men out there also. This bag is perfect because it makes the outfit and goes perfectly with the boots which again you can't go wrong with having a pair in your closet. The leather jacket which is another great staple to have in your closet. Another big fashion staple of the season that he is wearing is the endless scarf or as we like to call it the Ave Maria scarf. So always remember that a look is always something more then what you wear it's also how you feel in it. So update your wardrobe this winter with some of these items so that cute girl in the coffee shop will see more then just that beautiful smile you have.

Male Model Apartments

 Here is what some Model Apartments look like...



This is what you see once you enter the apartment. You have a closet straight ahead that can fit a bed.  The second picture is the one room that my room mate and myself sleep. The bed's are hard as a brick but you get a beautiful view from the porch. And also a huge closet for clothes! Third picture is the bathroom, its long but small. To take a shower you are legit pressed up on the wall and can barley maneuver. And the hot water runs out in about 5 minutes. The next 2 pictures is the other room with another bed that connects to the kitchen/dinning room. This is where we hangout after castings, where we eat, drink, go on the computer (as you can see my room mate) and relax. And the last picture is the kitchen that is the size of a small closet. You can barely fit two people in it which is pretty small! Well I hope you like the inside look at the model apartments in Milan.

Fashion Capital of the World

I had the biggest opportunity to go to Milan Italy for two months to model, so I took it!  When I first arrived the weather was a bit dreary and it made you want to stay inside and sleep but that didn't stop me and my room mate from going site seeing.  We went to the Duomo (picture on top) a very old museum (picture in middle) and the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele (bottom picture). It seriously takes your breath away on how old it is.  Milan's currency is different than United States, for the 200 American dollars that you transfer to euro's you only get 140 euro's!! BULL! 

Getting around Milan is so much easier than NYC, you have 3 different subways which you go by the color (red, yellow, and green) and it shows you the stops on a map which is pretty simple. The people here for some part are really nice. They can pick out a American like that! But you also have to watch out for the sketchy one's who ask for money profusely. Besides that the shopping here is HUGE, the lady's here never dress down, they are always dressed fierce! The guys.... some dress fierce.  Milan, Italy is the place to come on vacation (when the weather's nice) it is such a beautiful place, if I had the money I would so live here!
